Rewards?

I've been thinking about this since a couple of days ago. Should we have some kind of thing where we award certain members? (Like give them a title, pokemon, etc.) I think it'll be a good way to show our appreciation for them and all their hard work What do you think? Discuss.

list of what, the rewards available?

A list of reward choices. Then as we contine discussing, we'll narrow down the choices until we have a few left. Then we can probably put a poll up or talk about it more.

well like, i dunno how to describe it. there are just different levels of rewards

Level 1 Rewards
Level 2 Rewards
Level 3 Rewards
Level 4 Rewards
Level 5 Rewards

you know what i mean? depending on what a person does, he/she can receive a reward from the corresponding level. but we need to figure out how this judgement is determined

by the way, i updated the website quite a bit right now. like the announcements, made it possible for people to change their email, changed the titles (Novice, Pokemon Trainer, Admin, etc), made the Moderator group open to people (it was closed i found out, no one could join, now you can request membership). etc etc

Hmmm....maybe the levels should be like this:

1 - For reporting things
2 - For participation in the forum
3 - Overachiver =P

Or something like that.

Alright So, should it go like this?

1. Notice that someone deserves a reward.
2. Gather as many admin/mods for meeting.
3. Determine level of reward.
4. Give reward to member.

We also need to think of how long it'll take for a member to recive the award - it might take a while to round up all the leaders and discuss.

but it should jsut be like like 3 of the admins and/or mods or something. itll take too long to gather everybody, haha

We already came up with evolutionary stones, so maybe here is a few more:

1. Evolutionary Stones
2. Held Items
3. Pokemon of choice (non-event related)
4. Pokemon of choice (event related)

I did not arrange them in a particular order, I just listen them as i though of em, haha

how about:

• promotion (like from member to mod and modto admin)
  
• members' birthdays
  
• account birthdays (anniversary of account creation/activation)
  
• raffles andsite scavenger hunts (i volunteer to organize both)
  
• and how about every 1000 posts?

Nice ideas!

Promotion - good, but we need to make sure that they are up to the job
Member B-days - another great thing because were still small
Account creation celebration - same reason as stated above Xp
Raffles & Scavenger hunts - I think this is the best idea yet. It'll help make the site more fun and active
1000 posts - great too, gets people active

Yea, i really like that!
With the 1000 posts however, we gotta make sure people don't spam to get to that level

So should games and off topic (spam) topics be uncounted for in the 1000 posts?

But how would we keep track... O_O

well, i just mean if you notice someone has been saying a lot of stuff, don't reward them with a prize for 1000 posts, u know what i mean?
it doesn't have to be super precise, but if u get the feeling that someone is spamming, just don't give em a reward for it, haha

y dont we just be more strict about the "no spamming" rule? like by making it so other users can report spam?
