For Those Who Cannot Connect To Wifi

Hey guys! I just recently thought that we should have a set up, program, something, that allows people who do not have wifi to atleast battle each other. I know I cannot battle because of wifi problems, and I know a few others experience this problem.
Does anyone have any ideas of how we can encorporate this? Thanks!

i have an idea we could come up with abattle system through the computer, like that rent a pokemon game in the battle tower

How would we calculate damage and all that??

well certain moves would do certain damage

This is what I mean:

Golem gets hit with a Waterfall by Feraligatr
Golem has 358 defense
Waterfall is a physical move
Waterfall is 4x effective
Waterfall has base 80 damage
Golem has 182 health
Feraligatr has 245 attack
Feraligatr is water type, so the move has STAB (same type attack boost)

how in the world would we be able to calculate all of this?

ahhhhh righ i forgot about that 1 lol, but we could make it simple with just pokemon attacks and hp

no no, but i want it to be a replacement for real batttles, for those that cannot do wifi battles

I myself like destiny's idea, I mean it would be simple and easy to make. Kinda like that game called pokemon simulater, except the fact that it is one on one

NO need, just make it layback and easy to play. You could make it a non-internet game, than use the internet for online play and competitive battling. I like the easy-to-make idea.

But....if it is simpler than the pokemon games, no one would use it.

for example, i would use it as an alternative to online competitive battles. so it would have to be just like the pokemon game battles.
that way i can use all of my strategies which i would be able to use in the normal pokemon games

Yeah, that true, but I was thinking more about a side/alternate game that someone can go to a certain part of the forum, download it, and it can be specific to the people on the forum, there can be rankings, competitions, special times/dates and you might even be able to catch/trade pokes in this game! So how's the idea? It doesn't have to be complicated and stuff, just make it a fun side game, ya know?

You'll probably need some kind of program producer. I suggest, as all great people start by doing, google it.

PM did u say that u had to shut down ur comp to use wifi? that sounds kind of weird...

are u sure ur not still having problems? or did u buy the DS wifi USB thing?

uhm, well, this is what i have to do
in order for my wifi on DS to work, i have to change the security settings from WPA2 Personal to WEP
with that up, my laptop's internet doesn't work, so i have to switch to the main computer
however, in order to change the wifi settings from WPA2 Personal to WEP, i need to use the firefox broswer
in addition, because the main computer is somtimes stupid, i have to restart it in order for firefox to work
it is complicated..haha
